Hiking & Biking

  • Border-to-Border Trail (B2B)
    • The trail system is a paved, linear, non-motorized trail that connects cities, parks, nature preserves and other desirable destinations along the Huron River. In addition to the B2B, bicycles are welcome at WCPARC Park facilities. Vehicle entry fees do not apply if the facility is entered by bicycle.
  • Independence Lake Park
    • Offers a 2 mile multi-use paved path that winds through woods and open areas in the park.
  • Parker Mill
    • Features a one-mile, multi-use paved trail that connects to the City of Ann Arbor's Gallup Park.
    • Bicycles are not permitted on Hoyt G. Post trail at Parker Mill Park
  • Rolling Hills Park
    • Offers miles of different trails to accommodate various types of riding. A multi-use paved trail, spanning five miles, is available for general bicycle riding. About three miles of nature trails consisting of grass, limestone, and crushed stone are available for mountain biking. This challenging trail is narrow and best used by more experienced riders.
  • Sharon Mills Park
    • Features a beginner-friendly, 3.8 mile mountain bike trail with scenic views of open fields and the Sharon Millpond, part of the River Raisin.

Restrictions

For the protection of park users and resources the following restrictions apply:

  • Bicycles must remain on designated roads and paths only
  • No bicycles on designated nature trails or boardwalks
  • No off-trail biking
